Dorinel Munteanu targets SuperLiga promotion with ACSM Reșița

Dorinel Munteanu, the coach of ACSM Reșița, has expressed a clear ambition to secure promotion for the club to the Romanian SuperLiga. Munteanu noted that discussions regarding his arrival at the team focused on achieving this specific goal. He has also signaled a need for financial support to ensure the objective is met.

There appears to be a discrepancy between the coach's ambitions and the public stance of the club's leadership. ACSM Reșița President Viorel Lolea has stated that the club's objective is to build a hardworking and respected team rather than explicitly targeting promotion. Despite this difference in rhetoric, the team has had a strong start to the season, earning 12 points from five matches and sitting just one point behind the leaders in Liga 2.
