Doris Ogala declares intention to run for Abia State governor

Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has declared her intention to run for governor of Abia State, describing her political ambition as a “divine mandate.” During a podcast interview, Ogala asserted that she is more capable than other potential contenders and stated, “I will be the next governor of Abia state and nothing can stop me.”

Ogala criticized the current administration under Governor Alex Otti, claiming that reported improvements in electricity and road infrastructure are merely public relations efforts. She highlighted her own experiences with prolonged power outages during a three-month stay in the state, noting that she has lived without electricity in her family home. She further challenged the current governor regarding infrastructure development, specifically mentioning Ariaria.
