dormakaba invests over two million euros in Bühl site

Access solutions provider dormakaba is investing over two million euros to modernize and expand its production site in Bühl, Germany. The company has extended its lease for the location until 2035.

The investment aims to increase production capacity by approximately 25 percent through the acquisition of new laser technology, sawing and milling machines, and an automated high-voltage testing cell for sensor gates. The expansion is driven by rising demand, including major orders from German airports in Frankfurt, Munich, and Düsseldorf for more than 650 Argus Air sensor gates used as self-boarding gates.

Additionally, the site will manufacture two new product variants developed in Bühl for the global market: the Argus Air XS, with series production starting in 2026, and the Argus Air Interlock, which began series production in 2026.
