Dornbirn: Forachstraße infrastructure works to begin October 5

Extensive infrastructure and roadwork projects are scheduled to begin on Forachstraße in Dornbirn on October 5. The project involves a coordinated effort by Vorarlberger Energienetze, the Dornbirn waterworks, and the city's civil engineering department to renew water lines and maintain gas and electricity networks.

Following the utility work, the road itself will undergo renovation and restructuring. The project is expected to continue until November 30, 2026. By bundling these various utility and road repairs into a single project, authorities aim to prevent the need for repeated excavation in the future.

The construction will proceed in stages, leading to various partial and full closures. Between Matengaweg and Am Karlesgraben, the road will be partially closed, requiring drivers to yield to oncoming traffic. However, full closures will be necessary between Am Karlesgraben and Im Forach, as well as between the two connection points of Im Forach, with traffic being diverted to alternative routes.
