Dornbirn GFC 2026 to focus on textile circularity and fiber innovation

The 65th Dornbirn GFC international fiber conference is scheduled to take place from September 16 to 18, 2026, in Dornbirn, Austria. The event is expected to host over 600 experts from industry and academia representing more than 30 countries.

To mark its anniversary, the conference is expanding its program to include additional presentation series. Key focus areas include cross-industry innovation between fiber, textiles, pulp, and paper; natural fibers; and sessions hosted by ReHubs, a European industrial alliance. These ReHubs sessions will facilitate dialogue on the future of textile circularity, including mechanical and chemical recycling, new business models, and protective workwear.

The program will feature approximately 100 technical presentations across three parallel rooms. Topics of discussion will encompass artificial intelligence in the textile sector, circular economy strategies, fiber innovations, functional and smart textiles, and nonwovens and composite materials.
