Dornbirn Herbstmesse opens with reduced entry prices

The 78th Herbstmesse in Dornbirn has opened, running from September 9 to 13. Under the leadership of new managing director Nilly Nail, the event has introduced a significant reduction in admission prices, with adult tickets dropping from 12 euros to 6 euros. Additionally, entry is now free for children up to 14 years of age.

Spanning approximately 35,000 square meters, the fair features around 220 exhibitors. This year’s program emphasizes “wood worlds,” showcasing local wood types and approximately 50 timber construction projects from Vorarlberg. Another major focus is the evolution of agricultural technology, ranging from historical machinery to modern digital systems.

The event also serves as a regional marketplace for housing, household goods, and lifestyle. Entertainment includes live music performances and food offerings, while family attractions include what is described as the largest bouncy castle in Europe.
