Dornhan-Fürnsal historic farmhouse and barn detailed in German heritage database

The building complex located in the Dornhan-Fürnsal district north of Dornhan in the Rottweil county has been recorded in the German Bauforschung/Restaurierung database. Situated on a rectangular plot bounded by Eschleweg and Hofwiesenweg, the single‑pitched farm (Einfirsthof) presents a saddle‑roofed structure whose southern half functions as a barn, while the ground floor houses a stall, the upper floor provides residential rooms and the attic serves as open storage.

Architecturally the farm features a half‑hipped roof, an external stairway leading to a main entrance on the upper level, and a small verandah under a cripple‑gable roof. Later extensions modify the western roof line, and the façade includes a yellow‑painted plaster base, brick repairs, metal strips, and wooden boarding with distinctive drip edges and segmented arches.

The entry documents the building’s layout, construction details, and current condition, providing a reference for heritage preservation and research.
