Dorsten, Germany upgrades multiple kindergartens with new buildings

During the summer holidays the city of Dorsten in Germany is carrying out extensive renovations and relocations of several kindergartens. New facilities have been opened, including the two‑storey Ahornstraße kindergarten in Holsterhausen, which now houses two groups, and the single‑storey Pestalozzistraße kindergarten, designed for five groups and 90 children. The four‑group Ahornstraße site and the Evangelical Kinderwelt on Pestalozzistraße have been completed and handed over to their operators.

The municipal infrastructure company InfraDOR is coordinating the projects, using temporary container quarters such as the one on Brüderstraße while older buildings are demolished, for example the Falkenstraße kindergarten. The upgrades aim to meet rising demand for childcare, provide modern equipment and increase capacity across the district.
