Dorsten honors long-time politician Johannes Albersmann
The city of Dorsten has issued an obituary for Johannes Albersmann, a long-serving local politician who passed away at the age of 85.
A member of the CDU, Albersmann served on the Dorsten City Council for nearly 30 years, from 1980 to 2009. His political work focused heavily on the development of the Rhade district, where he served on the Environment and Planning Committee, the Energy Advisory Board, and the Public Transport Commission.
Beyond his political career, Albersmann was a member of the Rhade village community and served with the volunteer fire department for more than 60 years. Mayor Tobias Stockhoff praised him as a dedicated politician committed to the public good.
