Dorsten inclusive playground receives $150,000 from Lions International

Lions International has approved $150,000 in funding for an inclusive playground project in Dorsten, Germany. The project, titled ‘Zusammenspiel im Ellerbruch’, aims to create a barrier-free recreational space where children of all abilities can play together.

The funding was granted following a request submitted by four local Lions Clubs, which have formed a dedicated association to manage the planning and construction. Project leader Bruno Kemper stated that this international support brings the multi-million dollar project closer to realization. The playground is designed to accommodate children with various needs, including those using wheelchairs or requiring sensory experiences.
