Dortmund police chase involves three teenagers in Audi

Three teenagers, aged 14 and 15, were detained in Dortmund following a high-speed police chase. The incident began around 2:50 a.m. on Tuesday when an Audi was spotted due to a defective flashing light in the Hafenviertel district.

Although the driver initially complied with police signals and stopped the vehicle on Clemens-Veltum-Straße, the car suddenly sped off as officers exited their patrol car. The driver fled at significantly excessive speeds through Martha-Gillessen-Straße before stopping at Feldherrnstraße. Three individuals attempted to flee on foot but were apprehended by police.

The suspects, who are from Romania, were taken to the police station and later released to their legal guardians. The Audi has been seized, and criminal proceedings are underway against the youths for offenses including driving without a license and endangering road traffic. It remains unclear which of the three was behind the wheel.
