Dortmund to host Lichterfest and FAVORITEN Festival

Dortmund is hosting two upcoming cultural events. The Lichterfest in Fredenbaumpark is scheduled for September 12, starting at 6:00 PM. The event features a light display throughout the park, live music from the band ‘Pausengespräch’, and a scheduled fire show by the ‘Flames Fire Company’ at 10:00 PM. Admission to the festival is free.

Additionally, the FAVORITEN Festival will take place in Dortmund's city center from October 1 to October 11. Organized by the NRW Landesbüro Freie Darstellende Künste and the Dortmund Cultural Office, the biennial festival focuses on theater, dance, performance, and digital media. A free program is offered on October 3 to provide access to the independent performing arts scene.
