Dosenbach-Ochsner implements 101 robots for logistics automation

Dosenbach-Ochsner AG has integrated its e-commerce logistics into a centralized distribution center in Switzerland to meet rising digital market demands. This technological shift aims to unify online order fulfillment and brick-and-mortar retail operations under a single infrastructure.

The new logistics setup utilizes advanced automation technology from Exotec, featuring a fleet of 101 robots responsible for storage, retrieval, and picking. This robotic infrastructure is supported by eight automated guided vehicles (AGVs) that manage internal goods flows between functional areas. The complex operations are managed by PSIwms software, which serves as a strategic blueprint to allow for standardized processes and easier scaling in the future. The primary business objectives include managing the increased volumes generated by e-commerce growth and improving omnichannel capabilities.
