Doshisha University baseball teams see league win and national semifinal finish

Doshisha University's baseball teams saw mixed results in recent competitive play. In the Kansai Six Universities Soft Baseball Autumn League, Doshisha secured a 5-1 victory against Konan University on August 27 at Neyagawa Park Baseball Field. Pitchers Hirota and Muranaka provided strong performances, with Muranaka limiting Konan to just three hits to secure the win.

In the semi-hard baseball division, the Doshisha team led by Ryo Suzuki reached the semifinals of the 78th All Japan University Semi-Hard Baseball Championship. However, they were defeated 0-2 by Hosei University at Ishikawa Prefectural Baseball Stadium on August 25. Despite the loss, the team noted the significance of having previously defeated defending champions Chuo University during the tournament.
