Serbian Ambassador Ivan Todorov targeted in police raid in Pale
A diplomatic incident occurred in Pale, Bosnia and Herzegovina, when members of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit (SAJ) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska entered a restaurant and used force against guests.
Reports indicate that Ivan Todorov, the Serbian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Omar Musabegović, the Honorary Consul of Bangladesh, were among those physically handled by officers during the raid. The police action was reportedly aimed at apprehending Milutin Mića Danilović, described by some sources as a known criminal.
The incident has sparked significant political tension. The Serbian government has requested a list of the officers involved in the use of force against the ambassador. Local officials in Pale and Eastern Ilidža have called for accountability, questioning whether the leadership of the MUP RS was aware of the operation and demanding explanations for the treatment of diplomatic representatives.
