Dota 2 surpasses 1 million simultaneous players on Steam

Dota 2 has surpassed the milestone of 1 million simultaneous players on Steam, a feat not seen since 2022. This surge in engagement is largely attributed to the recent hosting of The International 2026.

Notably, this growth occurred without the traditional promotional incentives typically used by Valve, such as a robust battle pass, compendium, or special in-client thematic events. The game's historical peak remains at 1.29 million concurrent users, a record set over a decade ago.
