Douala hosts second International Meeting of Popular and Solidarity Education

The second International Meeting of Popular and Solidarity Education (RIEPS 2026) took place in Douala, Cameroon, from June 2 to June 6, 2026. The event brought together participants from seventeen countries to focus on building social transformation through human connections and shared learning.

Co-led by CRID and Terrafrik Cameroon, the meeting featured workshops co-facilitated by multiple international organizations to ensure collaborative construction. Field visits highlighted local solidarity projects, including a vocational training center for women and an orphanage where former residents return as volunteers to support the next generation.
