Double-decker bus crashes into Norfolk period home

A double-decker bus crashed into a period property on West Road in Ormesby St Margaret, Norfolk, on Thursday morning. The collision caused part of the house to collapse and left the vehicle embedded in the side of the building.

Emergency services, including crews from Great Yarmouth, Gorleston, Carrow, and Dereham, along with an Urban Search and Rescue team, attended the scene to secure the area. While the impact was described by neighbors as sounding “like a bomb going off,” Norfolk Police confirmed that there were no injuries reported among the residents, the driver, or the approximately seven to eight passengers on board.

The property had been undergoing a six-year renovation at the time of the accident. The owner was not home when the crash occurred. First Bus confirmed the collision and stated they are working on the matter.
