Doug Ellin slams Betr ad reuniting Entourage stars

Entourage creator Doug Ellin has criticized a new commercial for the gambling app Betr that reunites stars Jeremy Piven and Adrian Grenier. The advertisement, founded by Jake Paul and Joey Levy, features the two actors appearing as themselves in a dynamic reminiscent of their characters, Ari Gold and Vincent Chase, from the HBO series.

Ellin expressed strong disapproval of the advertisement on social media, describing it as a “cheap, shitty imitation” and “garbage” that undermines the hard work put into the original show's writing and character development. He clarified that he had no involvement in the production of the ad. While the actors shared the clip on X, Ellin stated that the emulation of the series' tone was “embarrassing” and “trash.”
