Dourados experiences economic growth and hotel reactivation

Dourados is experiencing a period of economic growth characterized by new industrial attractions, real estate expansion, and infrastructure improvements. Local leadership and business representatives have highlighted the city's recent progress, including the reactivation of the Dourados Regional Airport, which has seen nearly 70,000 passengers in its first year of commercial flight resumption.

Key private sector developments include the arrival of a global fast-food franchise, gas pipeline bidding, and investments from major biofuel and fuel distribution companies. Additionally, the Grupo Vale do Canaã, based in Londrina, has announced plans to reactivate the Dourados Park Hotel. The project aims to transform the site, which has been inactive for approximately two decades, into a modern complex featuring 100 suites, gastronomy, a gym, and event spaces.
