Dove Cameron releases new single Do the Math

Singer Dove Cameron has released her new alternative-pop single, “Do the Math,” which serves as a precursor to her highly anticipated debut full-length album, Final Girl. The track, which features a piano-driven sound, addresses themes of emotional immaturity and toxic relationship patterns, specifically targeting partners who blame all their previous exes for being “crazy.”

Co-written by Cameron alongside Madison Love, Evan Blair, Mark Schick, and Tyler Spry, the song was originally recorded in 2021. It was previously teased through social media and performed during live shows in 2022 before its official release. To promote the single, Cameron utilized a mathematical theme on social media, releasing equations that fans had to solve to reveal the release date.
