Dove Cameron releases new single ‘do the math’ ahead of debut album

Singer Dove Cameron has released ‘do the math’, the second preview single from her highly anticipated debut studio album, FINAL GIRL. Scheduled for release on November 6 via Disruptor Records and Columbia Records, the album is expected to feature eleven tracks.

‘do the math’ is described as a piano-driven pop ballad that emphasizes vocal performance. The song was co-written by Cameron alongside Mark Schick, Tyler Spry, Evan Blair, and Madi Yanofsky. Lyrically, the track addresses a former partner's tendency to blame past relationships for personal failures, using the concept of a common denominator to highlight recurring patterns.

To support the album launch, Cameron will embark on a 13-date North American tour, which includes a performance at Madison Square Garden in New York. This follows her previous single, ‘when in rome’.
