Dover Police arrest third suspect in fatal 2024 Christmas Eve shooting

Dover Police have announced the arrest of a third suspect in connection with the December 24, 2024, shooting that killed 14-year-old Juwan Walker. A 16-year-old male was taken into custody at his residence in Pennsylvania by the United States Marshals Middle Pennsylvania/Harrisburg Fugitive Task Force and the First State Fugitive Task Force.

Upon extradition to Delaware, the teenager faces charges including second-degree murder, first-degree conspiracy, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a deadly weapon and ammunition by a person under 18. The shooting occurred on Willis Road when suspects approached a parked vehicle and fired several rounds at Walker.

Two other juveniles were previously arrested in December 2024. A 13-year-old and a 15-year-old were both charged with second-degree murder and various weapons offenses following the incident.
