Dow to close Ribaforada logistics center in Spain

The American multinational Dow has announced the definitive closure of its logistics center in Ribaforada, Navarra, scheduled for March 31, 2027. The move is part of a broader organizational restructuring in Spain that involves 116 layoffs across the company’s national operations.

While the majority of the job cuts will affect production plants in Tarragona, involving 687 employees, the Ribaforada facility will see its entire local workforce of 12 people depart. Workers have noted that while the numerical impact in Navarra is smaller than in Tarragona, the closure represents a total disappearance of the company's activity in the Ribera region.

The Ribaforada site has functioned for over a decade as a distribution warehouse for the Spanish and Portuguese markets. Employees have announced planned strikes for November 10 through 13 and are considering further protest actions to advocate for the maintenance of local activity.
