Down Tarragona launches 2027 solidarity calendar

Down Tarragona has presented its 2027 solidarity calendar, an initiative designed to raise social awareness and funds to support the autonomy and quality of life for individuals with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities.

A total of 3,500 copies have been printed. The project features 46 individuals with intellectual disabilities as the protagonists for the cover and the twelve months of the year. The photography was provided voluntarily by Abel Pau and was shot at the facilities of REDESSA, a municipal company of the Reus City Council.

The official presentation took place in Reus and included speeches from Xavier Sanmiguel, president of Down Tarragona and Down Catalunya, and Sandra Guaita, the Mayor of Reus. The proceeds from the 5-euro donations will be used to finance programs focused on personal autonomy and creating opportunities for the association's users. The project received support from approximately fifty companies and institutions.
