Doxa Lefkadas clarifies secondary home venue status

Doxa Lefkadas has issued a public statement regarding its decision to declare Karditsa as a secondary home venue. The basketball club clarified that this is a mandatory and precautionary measure to ensure compliance with Stoiximan GBL requirements, rather than an intention to abandon its home arena in Lefkada.

The club emphasized that the pressure of upcoming deadlines necessitates this move to guarantee participation in the top Greek basketball league. Doxa Lefkadas stated that while essential items for league participation have been ordered by the Municipality of Lefkada, several commitments remain unfulfilled. These include the renovation of locker rooms, toilet facilities, and other necessary works at the Lefkada Indoor Hall.

The team called upon the Municipality of Lefkada and relevant authorities to fulfill their previous agreements to ensure the stadium meets the required standards for hosting matches.
