DP World and Balco Australia sign agricultural export logistics deal
DP World and Balco Australia have entered into a new multi-year logistics agreement designed to strengthen the export supply chain for Australian forage products. The partnership aims to enhance the efficiency and resilience of moving hay and animal feed from regional production sites to international markets.
Under the terms of the agreement, DP World will provide integrated road transport, equipment management, and supply chain coordination services. The deal covers more than 10,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) annually and includes investments in specialized transport assets.
Balco Australia is a major exporter of premium forage products and ruminant fiber solutions, serving more than 10 international markets, including customers in Asia and the Middle East. The company manages an annual export volume exceeding 300,000 metric tonnes through a network of processing sites and storage across South Australia, Victoria, and Western Australia.
