DP World ILT20 Season 5 launched in UAE

The fifth season of the DP World International League T20 (ILT20) has been officially launched in Dubai. The upcoming tournament is scheduled to run from November 22, 2026, to December 20, 2026, with matches hosted at the Dubai International Stadium, Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Cricket legends Brett Lee and Shoaib Akhtar have been announced as ambassadors for the league. Lee expressed optimism regarding the tournament's ability to elevate UAE cricket to a global level, noting that the competition provides a platform for emerging talent to challenge major cricketing nations.

ILT20 Chairman Khalid Al Zarooni highlighted the league's growth since its 2023 inception, stating it has become one of the world's leading cricket leagues while contributing to the expansion of the sport within the Gulf region. The event featured discussions involving representatives from the ICC, ECB, and various commercial partners, including DP World and Zee Network.
