DP World Tour will not hold tournament in Denmark in 2027

Promoter Flemming Astrup has officially announced that there will be no DP World Tour tournament held in Denmark in 2027. The decision comes as organizers take a pause from the current format to focus on developing a broader Nordic tournament starting in 2028.

Astrup indicated that the goal is to create a joint tournament involving Denmark, Sweden, and Norway to establish a more robust economic foundation. While the Danish Golf Championship has been hosted at various locations including Lübker, Furesø, and Great Northern, the tournament has struggled to secure a title sponsor in recent years.

Despite the absence of a tour event in 2027, other golf activities remain planned, including the Hotel Planner Touri 2027 and a showmatch titled ‘The Viking’ between Denmark and Norway.
