DPD issues guidance on parcel label printing and packaging

DPD has issued guidance to customers regarding the correct formatting and printing of parcel labels to ensure efficient processing and successful delivery. The company emphasizes that labels must include complete details, such as the recipient's name, street, building number, postcode, and town or city. DPD noted that it does not deliver to PO boxes.

To prevent barcode unreadability caused by smudging, DPD recommends using laser or label printers. If customers must use inkjet printers, they are advised to let the ink dry completely before attachment. For labels printed on standard paper, the company suggests covering them entirely with clear packing tape to protect against weather and other variables.

Regarding packaging, DPD advises using strong, rigid, high-quality corrugated cardboard boxes, preferably double-walled for heavy loads, to ensure the contents are adequately protected during transit.
