DPMM FC eliminates Terengganu FC from FA Cup

DPMM FC has advanced to the quarter-finals of the 2026/2027 FA Cup after defeating Terengganu FC (TFC) with a 3-1 victory in the second leg at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium. The win gives DPMM FC a 5-4 aggregate score, allowing them to overcome a 2-3 deficit from the first leg at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.

TFC head coach Nafuzi Zain attributed the early exit to defensive lapses and individual errors. He noted that while the team created opportunities, losing possession during attacks led to counter-attacks that resulted in two second-half goals for the opposition. Nafuzi stated that the team will use the upcoming break to evaluate weaknesses ahead of their Malaysia League fixtures.

DPMM FC coach Jamie McAllister credited his team's success to disciplined defending and effective ball possession following halftime instructions. He noted that his players managed the game well, particularly during the final 15 minutes of the match.
