DPRD DIY focuses on integrity zones and MSME digitalization

The Yogyakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD DIY) is focusing on two distinct areas of regional development: institutional integrity and economic empowerment through digitalization.

Chairman of the DPRD DIY, Nuryadi, emphasized that the development of the Integrity Zone toward a Corruption-Free Area (WBK) within the DPRD Secretariat must prioritize honesty and a shift in work culture. While the Secretariat has reached the top five in the 2026 Integrity Zone development process, Nuryadi noted that administrative achievements alone are insufficient without the practical application of integrity and non-discriminatory service in daily duties.

Separately, Deputy Chairman Budi Waljiman highlighted the role of digitalization in supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). During a book discussion on digital marketing for housewives, Waljiman noted that social media, marketplaces, and digital payments allow home-based businesses to expand without physical storefronts. He also cautioned entrepreneurs to develop critical thinking skills to verify information found online to avoid making business decisions based on inaccurate data.
