DPS holds national women's forum in Kardzhali

The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) hosted a large-scale forum for its women's organizations in Kardzhali, Bulgaria. Under the theme ‘Faith and Family. The Strength of Women’, the event brought together over 300 women from Bulgaria and Turkey to discuss the role of women in governance and social development.

Party leader Delyan Peevski addressed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of the female voice in making strategic decisions for the country. The forum reported that the ‘Faith and Family’ campaign has generated over 250 initiatives across more than 70 settlements, engaging over 60,000 citizens over the past 18 months.

A key proposal emerged during the discussions to institutionalize dialogue by creating a specialized Council of Women reporting to the party chairman. Participants also highlighted the need for legislative priorities to focus on family support, child education, and youth development.
