The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) has imposed recruitment bans on 27 clubs, leaving many squads incomplete and highlighting deep financial and administrative problems within the national league. The federation warned that sanctions will remain until all debts are settled, underscoring ongoing governance challenges.

In parallel, the president of the FAF's Central Arbitration Commission, Abid Charef, is reported to be resigning, citing interference from the federation’s executive board and a loss of confidence in the commission’s independence.

Amid these institutional issues, Algerian defender Mohamed Amine Tougaï, currently with Espérance de Tunis, is linked to a possible move to Al‑Ahli Tripoli in Libya, while fellow international Zineddine Belaïd is set to leave JS Kabylie for Saudi club Al‑Taawoun after activating his release clause.
