Dr. Genaro Serantes Cardiovascular Hospital marks first anniversary in Tigre

The Dr. Genaro Serantes Cardiovascular Hospital in Tigre has marked its first anniversary since its inauguration on August 8, 2025. During its first year of operation, the facility has provided more than 70,000 medical attentions.

Key statistics from the first year include over 5,500 scheduled cardiology consultations and more than 300 cardiovascular procedures. These procedures range from open-heart and peripheral vascular surgeries to less invasive interventions such as arrhythmia ablations, heart valve replacements, and pacemaker placements. The hospital utilizes digital angiography technology to obtain real-time vascular imaging.

In terms of capacity, the hospital recently expanded by adding 20 new beds and external consultation rooms. The facility currently maintains a total of 45 clinical beds, including 12 for high-complexity cases and 8 for the emergency ward. On average, approximately 6,000 people visit the emergency department each month.
