Dr. Marius Raiber receives rare MIC-III surgical certification

Dr. Marius Raiber, a senior physician at the St. Elisabethen-Klinikum in Ravensburg, has achieved the MIC-III certification, the highest level of qualification for gynecological laparoscopy awarded by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Gynäkologische Endoskopie (AGE).

This certification is rare, held by only approximately 100 surgeons across Germany. Dr. Raiber is the only surgeon south of the Danube in the Lake Constance-Upper Swabia-West Allgäu region to hold this distinction. To qualify, surgeons must demonstrate extensive experience, including performing roughly 800 laparoscopic procedures and numerous operative hysteroscopies within a five-year period. The certification also requires mastery of complex procedures such as those for severe endometriosis, pelvic organ prolapse, and gynecological cancers.

Dr. Raiber, who is also certified in the use of the Da Vinci robotic-assisted system, has been with the Ravensburg women's clinic for 15 years. In addition to his role at St. Elisabethen-Klinikum, he serves as a senior surgeon at the certified breast center of the Oberschwabenklinik.
