Dr. Martens appoints Kate Vacovec as global commercial finance director

Dr. Martens has appointed Kate Vacovec as its new global commercial finance director. Vacovec joins the British footwear brand in October following a nearly 15-year tenure at Yum! Brands, the parent company of KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell.

In her previous role, Vacovec served as the CFO of Pizza Hut’s international operating markets. Her professional background includes extensive experience in financial planning, business analysis, strategy, and business development across North America, Europe, and Asia, having lived and worked in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Thailand.

Reporting to Chief Financial Officer Giles Wilson, Vacovec will lead the global commercial finance team and join the company’s leadership team. She is expected to collaborate with Chief Commercial Officer Mike Stopforth, Americas President Paul Zadoff, and various market general managers to advance the brand’s international commercial strategy.
