Dr. Panagiotis Pamboridis, prominent Cypriot physician, dies at 95

Dr. Panagiotis Pamboridis, a prominent figure in the Cypriot medical community, has passed away at the age of 95. A distinguished otolaryngologist, Dr. Pamboridis studied at the University of Athens before returning to Cyprus in 1963, where he operated his own clinic in Nicosia.

Various institutions have expressed their condolences, including the Cyprus Olympic Committee and the Pan-Cyprian Medical Association. The Cyprus Society of Head and Neck Otolaryngology recognized him as one of the most significant figures in the Greek-Cypriot medical community, noting his decades of dedication to the development of his specialty.

Beyond his medical career, Dr. Pamboridis was also an artist. In 2019, he held his first solo retrospective exhibition, with all proceeds donated to the ‘Sophia for Children’ Foundation. He is the father of George Pamboridis, a former Minister of Health and Member of Parliament.
