Dr. Payam Saadai to join Rady Children’s Health Orange County

Dr. Payam Saadai will join the Fetal Care Center of Southern California at Rady Children’s Health Orange County as a fetal surgeon. The center operates as a partnership between Rady Children’s and UCI Health, providing multidisciplinary care for mothers and infants with complex prenatal diagnoses.

Dr. Saadai, who currently serves as Chief of Pediatric General, Thoracic and Fetal Surgery and Director of the Fetal Care and Treatment Center at UC Davis Health, will begin in a part-time administrative capacity this fall. He is scheduled to join the organization full-time in early 2027 and will hold a faculty appointment at the University of California, Irvine. His expertise includes fetal surgery, pediatric colorectal conditions, robotic surgery, and minimally invasive surgery.
