Dr. Prasanna Kumar Acharya appointed CMD of NLC India

Dr. Prasanna Kumar Acharya has assumed the role of Chairman-cum-Managing Director of NLC India Limited (NLCIL). He officially took charge at the company’s corporate office in Neyveli, Tamil Nadu.

Acharya previously served as the company’s Director (Finance) and brings nearly three decades of experience in the power, mining, and infrastructure sectors. His professional background includes roles with organizations such as NTPC, Tata Power, and GRIDCO. He has also been involved in major projects like the Phase-II of the Chennai Metro Rail Limited.

At NLC India, Acharya has contributed to organizational transformation efforts, including digitalization, the modernization of enterprise resource planning systems, and the adoption of artificial intelligence-based solutions. He holds a PhD in Commerce from Utkal University and possesses qualifications in Law and Business Administration.
