Dr. Seuss franchise expands with new video game and educational platform

The Dr. Seuss franchise is expanding into new digital formats through two distinct releases. Outright Games, in partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises, has launched “The Cat in the Hat: Rainy Day Mayhem,” a family-friendly video game available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game features characters such as Sally, Johnny, Thing 1, Thing 2, and the Fish as they navigate interactive challenges and minigames.

Separately, developer Be The Monster has announced “Dr. Seuss: Learn and Play,” an iOS-exclusive educational platform. Developed by Faisal Sethi and Renée Jordan, the platform aims to provide over 1,000 games and activities for children aged two to eight. The content is designed to align with developmental domains and CDC milestones, covering skills such as literacy, numeracy, and fine motor skills. The app is available via a subscription model.
