Dr. Stone anime sequel ‘Dr. Stone Terraforming’ announced

An official anime sequel titled ‘Dr. Stone Terraforming’ has been announced following the conclusion of the original series in June. The sequel follows the award-winning manga by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi.

While a specific release date has not been confirmed, projections suggest a debut potentially as late as 2027, given that major Fall 2026 schedules are already established. The narrative is expected to build upon the cliffhanger of the previous series, where the protagonist, Senku Ishigami, expressed his ambition to build a time machine to prevent the petrification tragedy that occurred 3,700 years prior.

Crunchyroll is expected to remain the primary streaming platform for the series, with Netflix potentially hosting the content at a later date.
