DR to broadcast 2026 Women's Ice Hockey World Championship

The Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR) and the Danish Ice Hockey Union have entered an agreement to provide live coverage of the 2026 IIHF Women’s World Championship. The tournament will be hosted in Denmark, with matches held in Herning and Esbjerg.

DR will broadcast all matches involving the Danish national team, including their four group stage games, as well as selected quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final on November 16. Michael Dupont, CEO of the Danish Ice Hockey Union, stated that the partnership provides essential exposure for women's ice hockey and reaches audiences beyond their typical demographic.

The championship has been rescheduled to November to allow players from the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) to participate without conflicting with their club seasons, ensuring a high level of competition.
