Dr. Velichka Mladenova continues medical consultations at age 90

Dr. Velichka Mladenova, a 90-year-old physician from Plovdiv, continues to provide medical advice and consultations via telephone despite her own health challenges. Following hip surgery, she remains bedridden and faces significant financial difficulties covering the costs of her own medications and rehabilitation.

A graduate of medical school and the Military Academy in 1960, Dr. Mladenova holds the military rank of captain. Her career included twelve years of service in Belozem, where she managed the local hospital and internal medicine department. During her tenure there, she frequently traveled to nearby villages on foot or by cart to treat patients.

Even in her current state, she remains a sought-after resource for medical guidance, including from former patients living abroad.
