Institutional investors shift stakes in Axcelis Technologies and DraftKings

Wesbanco Bank Inc. acquired 12,800 shares of Axcelis Technologies (NASDAQ: ACLS) worth about $1.19 million in the first quarter, adding to a wave of institutional activity that saw Victory Capital, Dimensional Fund Advisors, Goldman Sachs, Invesco and Grantham Mayo Van Otterloo each increase their holdings in the semiconductor maker. Recent insider sales also reduced the personal stake of company executives.

Rockefeller Capital Management raised its position in DraftKings Inc. (NASDAQ: DKNG) by 458% in the fourth quarter, bringing its ownership to 104,360 shares valued at $3.6 million. Other investors, including Dagco Inc., Ameriflex Group, Asset Dedication LLC and Montag A & Associates, also took new positions in DraftKings. The company announced the launch of DKeX, a proprietary prediction‑markets exchange integrated into its Sports & Casino app, a move that analysts note could boost revenue but also adds volatility amid broader market concerns. An 8‑K filing for DraftKings was submitted to the SEC on June 26, 2026.
