DraftKings posts mixed Q2 earnings as prediction‑market segment drives growth
DraftKings reported second‑quarter results with earnings per share of $0.09, beating analysts’ estimate of $0.02, while revenue fell 4.6% year‑over‑year to $1.44 billion. Sportsbook handle rose 11% and sports consumer volume increased 15%, with monthly unique payers up 9%.
The company highlighted rapid expansion of its prediction‑market offering, attracting more than 600,000 customers and seeing traded volume grow nearly fivefold from April to July. Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter was $115 million, and DraftKings maintained its 2026 guidance of $6.5‑$6.9 billion in revenue and $700‑$900 million in adjusted EBITDA. Shares jumped about 8% to $24.03 after the release.
