Dragan Ribić promotes poetry book in Novi Sad

Poet Dragan Ribić held a literary evening and book promotion for his poetry collection, ‘Sanjarenja suncokreta’ (Sunflowers' Daydreams), at the Archives of Vojvodina in Novi Sad on September 25, 2026.

The event was organized by the ‘Pecí kod Ključa’ Association, with support from the Fund for Displaced and Resettled Persons. Reviewers Gordana Đilas and Natasha Bundalo Mikić discussed the work, noting the collection’s themes of vitality, light, and the sunflower as a metaphor for the human search for meaning. The book is structured into four cycles that trace an internal and external journey toward maturity and fullness.

Dobrija Ribić, president of the association, spoke about the poet’s connection to his native land and the shared history of the community. The program included readings of Ribić’s poetry and performances by the association’s male singing group, blending literary expression with traditional music and themes of nostalgia and heritage.
