Dragana Đilas calls Serbian government a criminal group, pledges anti‑corruption crackdown
Opposition leader Dragana Đilas told a parliamentary confidence debate that the prime minister, cabinet and President Aleksandar Vučić constitute an "organized criminal group". He said the government misuses power, treats citizens like "mice", and that the Security Information Agency (BIA) has become a partisan tool of the Serbian Progressive Party.
Đilas announced that a new government would dissolve the BIA, send its staff home, and reinstate only professional personnel. He proposed a series of laws to fight corruption, recover stolen assets and dismantle the system created by the alleged criminal group. He also called for the appointment of a special prosecutor, modelled on Romania’s anti‑corruption office, to ensure that thousands of thieves are jailed and that the recovered money is returned to the National Fund.
