Mirković revealed that the crisis in their relationship lasted for three years, during which the couple lived separately. She stated that she attempted to preserve the marriage but ultimately decided that staying together would cause more harm to the family. She emphasized that she maintains respect for Bijelić as the father of her children.

Following the separation, Mirković continues to reside in a castle near Vienna with her children, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. Bijelić has relocated to his villa in Opatija. Bijelić, who was born in Austria and works in business there, has family origins in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
