Dragões da Real selects samba-enredo to honor Reinaldo

The samba school Dragões da Real has selected its official samba-enredo for the upcoming Carnival parade. The winning composition was created by the partnership of Pedroca, Chanel, Ailson Picanço, Daniel, and Santos.

The theme for the parade, titled ‘Sob as Bênçãos de Xangô, a Coroação do Príncipe Reinaldo’ (Under the Blessings of Xangô, the Coronation of Prince Reinaldo), is a tribute to Reinaldo Gonçalves Zacaria, known as the ‘Prince of Pagode,’ who passed away in 2019. The theme was developed by carnival designer Jorge Freitas.

The selection process followed a competitive contest involving fourteen works. The final decision was reached during an event at the school's headquarters, featuring performances accompanied by the ‘Ritmo que Incendeia’ battery and singer Emerson Dias.
